Pediatric surgical cases are now performed at Shands at UF, Shands at AGH, and at our ambulatory surgical center. Anesthesia residents are being rotated through all these facilities so they are getting a variety of pediatric anesthesia experience. As a part of the pediatric anesthesia rotation, each resident receives a pediatric anesthesia manual and handouts. They are advised to read a pediatric anesthesia chapter from a major anesthesia textbook and we use a pediatric anesthesia teaching and testing program that consists of 69 slides and 32 questions.
