IDENTITY THEFT SEMINAR
Are you worried about identity theft because you provide your personal information on the Internet? UF is putting on a seminar on the topic. If you cannot make it to the seminar, the website listed below has some of the literature they reference.
Event: Fight Identity Theft Session
Speakers: Brenda Williams and Jordan Wiens
Location: Reitz Union Auditorium, 2nd Floor
Date: Friday, March 11, 2005
Time: 1:00 pm
Link: http://infosec.ufl.edu/idtheft/ Objective: To educate people on the risks of identity theft and how to prevent it.
WHAT TO DO WHEN EMAIL BOUNCES
If an email you sent bounces (you get an error message back), and you don't know why, feel free to forward it to ListCompSupport. Unless you forward the error message, it is almost impossible to find out what happened.
We all try to keep the email systems running 24/7 and even when they are down, we do our absolute best not to lose any mail or to bounce mail by mistake.
Most bounced mail is caused by incorrect addressing. In the past 2 days we have bounces over 5,000 email messages, the vast majority due to spammers trying different email addresses, or using an old list of addresses.
