Groupwise Tips

Question: Now that I have tons of e-mail how can I organize the mess?

Answer: The easiest method is to immediately delete those messages that you will not need again. The remaining messages can be organized into separate folders. The exact folder organization is up to you.

How to create a personal folder:

1. Open the GroupWise client and highlight one of the items in the left hand column below Online. For example, highlight the Cabinet item.
2. On the menu bar click File | New | Folder.
3. Select the default Personal folder and click Next.
4. Change the folder name from New Folder to something else. In this example lets call it Spam.
5. Note the folder's default position is directly below the item originally highlighted in step 1 above. This position can be changed via the Up, Down, Right, Left buttons. If you want to change the position of the folder, do it now. When finished, click Next.
6. Accept the default folder settings and click Finish.
7. In this example a new folder has been created called Spam located below the Cabinet heading.
