Groupwise Tips

Question: Is there a shortcut to address a message to someone in the Dept?

Answer: Yes, it is called autotext or name completion. Open a new Mail To: message window. On the To: (CC: or BC:) line start typing the LAST name of the person within the Dept. that you want to send the message to. GroupWise will respond with the first person it knows about with the letters you have typed. By depressing the up or down arrow key one can cycle through all the addresses that GroupWise knows about starting the with the letters you have typed.

Be sure to review the address to insure you have the correct person. Many a time I have been in a hurry and used the incorrect address or added a person in error.

To review the addresses, click anywhere within the To: (CC: or BC:) box. A drop down list of all the addresses will be shown. Highlighting one of the entries in the list will give additional information regarding this selection if available.
