Objectives
The Department of Anesthesiology of the University of Florida College of Medicine is committed to the following objectives that have been determined for each of the three service areas of the department:
1. CLINICAL
- • provide comprehensive subspecialty expertise to the operating room and intensive care units
2. EDUCATION
- • medical student education
- • receive outstanding course evaluations from students
- • student's performance on course material >85th percentile in standardized testing
- • resident physician education
- • graduating residents average >90th percentile on the ABA written exam, with a 100% pass rate
- • graduated residents have a 100% pass rate on the ABA oral examination
3. RESEARCH
- • Increase the number of peer-reviewed publications 10% per year
- • Increase peer-reviewed research
