Fringe Benefits Available From
the College of Medicine
The following fringe benefits are available to full-time clinical faculty by the College, at the department’s expense:
Annuity Contribution- that portion of salary received from the Academic Enrichment Fund is eligible to receive a monthly employer contribution equal to the current Optional Retirement Program rate, not to exceed $30,000 annually.
Life Insurance - $400,000 of coverage with an additional $ 150,000 for accidental death and dismemberment.
Disability Insurance – monthly income benefit of 60% of monthly salary to a maximum of $15,000.
Medical Insurance - $1,000 deductible, $2,000 family deductible. UF Faculty Group Practice physicians will waive the deductible and coinsurance payments, and provide professional courtesy. A prescription card is available; brand name drugs cost $15 and generic cost $10.
Optional Retirement Plan – 10.32% of state salary is contributed to annuity program.
Liability Insurance – comprehensive general liability protection plus professional liability coverage on an-occurrence basis.
