Faculty Awards by Housestaff
The Department of Anesthesiology sponsors two annual awards for faculty members. One is to the faculty member who is selected as the T. W. Andersen Teacher of the Year by the Anesthesiology housestaff and the other is the H. M. Perkins Award, which is given by the housestaff to honor a faculty member for his lifetime contributions to resident education. The awards are announced at the housestaff graduation party each year, while the monetary award of $2000 is presented during the next academic year.
