The Critical
 Care Team

The critical care team is generally made up on a daily basis of the SICU Attending for the week, the critical care Fellows, four to five residents from the Department of Anesthesiology, one resident from the Department of Surgery, and four medical students. Rounds are conducted twice daily, seven days a week. Rounds begin in the morning and are a combination of both didactic and work sessions. At noon, following morning rounds, there is the teaching conference where lectures that have been assigned are given. Afterwards, the team then reviews and divides the work that has been generated, including various procedures and admissions or discharges of patients. Generally, afternoon rounds are made with the team scheduled to be on call that night.
